The Vasudev people live in Central India, especially Maharashtra.
Many are farmers and livestock herders, but their community is noted for their religious contributions. They are known to wander through villages singing bhakti worship songs, invoking the favor of deceased spirits and surviving on alms. Some of them gather for religious dancing. This has been their way of life for many generations.
These Hindus have a special role in village life. Hindus believe they have the power to regain the favor of the dead. They mainly worship Krishna. Their religious practices are designed to bring honor to Krishna.
These people need to be freed from unclean spirits that misdirect them. Instead, they need the John 10:10 blessing of an abundant life offered by Jesus Christ.
Pray for the Vasudev culture to be renewed and enhanced by a work of the Holy Spirit and shaped into a God-centered and God-honoring mold.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move among their family and community leaders to seek his face and enjoy his blessings.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers who will be compelled to nurture a disciple making movement among the Vasudev people.
Pray that soon the Vasudev people will have faith that will lead them to live honorable lives that will draw others to the savior.
